This is Shelley and Campbell, a beautiful Cape Town couple that got married in April 2014. They were introduced by their mothers, who met 30 years ago, and after becoming family friends, they eventually went on their first date. The rest, as they say, is history.
Shelley and Campbell tied the knot at their home church, surrounded by family and friends. They ended off the celebrations at Rondekuil, in a venue that was once an old barn. This gorgeous venue doesn’t need too much decor, so they prettied it up with their own special touches. Their “vintage/chic” theme was created with home made wedding invitations, coffee stained paper and lace covering tins of flowers, the old ladder seating plan and the mustache corsages for the boys. Shelley and Campbell even made their wedding favours; fridge magnets with quirky sayings and images on them.
Another cute personal touch was the cake topper. Shelley and Campbell call each other “Monkey” so they had monkey cake toppers, which they still have:
When asked to give some wedding planning advice to newly engaged couples, Shelley said: “Start planning as soon as possible. Keep it simple. Know that unfortunately you cannot please everyone. It’s your day, don’t sweat the small stuff.”
With that in mind, have a look at some more photos of this beautiful vintage chic wedding:
